for Angels
Project
560,000 individual, overnight hospital
and respite housing accommodations
to families with critically ill children,
from every state in the United States
and seventy-six countries worldwide.
Alexis explains: “Critically ill children in the BIT homes are given the
opportunity to enjoy spending time
with their families as they try to deal
with their overwhelming situations.
As the angelic children and their
families look at the handmade Wings
for Angels butterflies, they will be
reminded that even perfect strangers
care for them and the circumstances
they are in. The children will feel at
peace from a group of butterflies symbolizing the tranquility of nature.”

National Art Honor Society, 2010–11)
had this question in mind when she
initiated and developed the Wings for
Angels Project after hearing about the
Believe in Tomorrow (BIT) organization through her art teacher, Ellen
McMillan.
