Autumn de Forest is nine years old and loves to paint. She has been an avid painter for most of her life, but it was not until her parents placed fine art quality oil paints and canvases within her grasp that her output became not only prolific but eerily beyond her years.

AUTUMN FOREST

Autumn creates all works by herself, and , aside from prep and heavy lifting, canvases are never touched by anyone but her. There seems to be a creative gene in her DNA, as she is a fifth generation painter. Autumn loves to wo rk on a grand scale with most of her works in the 4 x 6-foot range. B eca use painting vertically poses difficulties in reaching areas of the canvas, Autumn lays the painting on the ground and moves around it. To access the center of the large paintings, "bridges" that span the width and length of the canvas have been constructed, allowing her to reac h any part of the work.
