ferent layers of glaze. If they made an
error or changed their minds, they
could reapply the glaze where needed.
Students dipped the finished tiles
in clear glaze and I fired them. The
results were exquisite. We found
beauty in something obscure, something that the human eye cannot see.
The best part was that my students
saw that science could be beautiful
and that art can connect to all aspects
of life.
