As an art teacher with twenty-four years teaching experience, I am constantly scrounging for material
to put to creative use. Recently, the
Appalachian Arts Initiative donated
to me more than 400 CDs left over
from a concert. In addition, the music
teacher at my school donated several
circular discs made from foam insulation (formerly large “plates” from a
