Review: The Lockerbie Wheel is a
great wheel to use in the classroom.
My high-school students found that
it was easy to control the speed of the
wheel when making thrown projects,
and they especially liked that they
were able to adjust the height of the
seat.
This wheel is very sturdy and
should hold up well with a lot of
use. The tray is made of metal rather
than plastic so you do not have to
worry about it breaking and having to
replace the tray each year. Students
also thought that it was easier to
clean up after use because there
were less removable pieces than
other wheels. To use the kick wheel,
students should make sure that they
wear shoes with good traction so that
their feet do not slip.
