Drawing the figure has always been a passion for me. I
am mostly interested in the female figure and the way
the curves of the body form organic shapes. I use these
forms in my drawings and paintings. I look beyond the
figure to see the shapes that form within that person
which, in turn, become
abstract. I use vibrant
colors and line to enhance
the shapes once I have
the figure down on paper.
I also use watercolor for
my backgrounds to form a
multimedia effect.

I enjoy capturing the expressions
of people. It is like looking deep
into their inner souls and bringing it out on paper. I use graphite
and color pencil as my choice of
media for these drawings. It is said
that the expression of a person is
priceless and, as an artist, I am
trying to capture every moment.

become more expressive with my use of line and stroke;
