Chromacryl
®
STUDENTS' ACRYLIC
Chroma Acrylics has, for over 40 years, supplied art
teachers and students with quality Chromacryl paints to
enhance student learning and unlock creative potential.
Teachers can provide their students with the same
American-made, quality paint which is available in
individual 2. 5 oz tubes, 16 oz bottles and 1/2 gallon
containers as well as various sizes of sets.
Chromacryl is different from other paints on the market
because it offers the consistency and technical range
found with more expensive artists colors. It can be used
for all your arts and crafts projects, whether it be fabric
painting, screen printing, painting on canvas, wood,
ceramics, paper or glass. Colors do not flake, become
brittle or dry chalky. Use Chromacryl with brushes, rollers,
sponges and spatulas. It is non-toxic and easy to
clean up with soap and water.

Faber-Castell® Color Grip
Watercolor EcoPencils

Teachers: Christine Crowell, Art
Teacher, Grafton Middle School,
Grafton, Massachusetts
Level: Middle School
The Project: Students were
instructed to create cartoon fish
on thick card stock paper using
Faber-Castell Color Grip Watercolor
EcoPencils. We created fantasy
underwater backgrounds and drew
the fish in colored pencil first. After
a colored pencil demonstration
involving shading, layering,
crosshatching, and stippling, students
began coloring their creations. After
adding the water to the pencil, the
fish paintings looked wonderful.
Using construction paper, students
added seaweed to the edges of
their compositions. The drawings
looked incredibly vibrant and added
personality to the bulletin board.
The excellent grip and “no roll”
quality of these pencils make them
an excellent addition to any middle-school artroom. Students particularly
enjoyed the richness and variety of
the colors, and found them to be very
easily blendable—with or without the
use of water.
