Pop-Its™ Dimensional Borders
www.carsondellosa.com
Teacher: Heather White, art teacher,
E.P. Rayzor Elementary School,
Denton, Texas
Level: Early Childhood
The Project: The frogs on the Pop-Its Dimensional Border inspired an
art lesson focusing on the book, In
the Small, Small Pond by Denise
Fleming. The objective was to create
a critter for our bulletin board
“pond” that had formal balance
and a line of symmetry. The three-dimensional Pop-Its border served to
draw attention to and enhance the
three-dimensional critters created by
students.
This unique and fun frog border
was simple to use and drew a lot of
attention to the bulletin board and
students’ artwork. Everyone wanted
to know where it came from and
how they could order some for their
classrooms!
