Scratch-Art® Clear-Scratch™
www.scratchart.com
Teacher: Kelly Ceckowski, art
teacher, State Road School, Webster,
New York.
Level: Elementary
The Project: I used Clear-Scratch to
conclude a lesson on value. Students
drew on the paper to achieve an
opposite result: The areas with lines
close together let more light show.
With pencil drawings, lines drawn
close together make a shadowed
area. Students also practiced drawing
texture on subjects of their choice,
including animals and vehicles.
Different from colored scratch
paper, this product allows users to
place specific color behind drawings
if they so choose. This unique
alternative creates an interesting
“see-through” result.
