I have heard art teachers

the National Art Education
Association?” Seems like a simple
question, doesn’t it?
So, why should you join the
NAEA? Education today faces
numerous challenges. With No
Child Left Behind and standardized
testing impacting our schools—and,
more importantly, art programs
across the nation—we can no longer
sit back and allow others to influence the future of our programs.

largest professional development
opportunity in the world devoted
exclusively to art educators. This
March, New Orleans will host the
2008 NAEA Convention: Innovations in Teaching, Learning and
Leading, featuring renowned artists
and educators, including Faith Ringgold, the Blue Dog Guy, Lynell Burmark, Thomas Mann, and Charles
Falco. More than 1,000 sessions will
be offered—all geared to visual arts
