• When dry, insert pipe cleaner as
stem.
Tip: Mix scented dishwashing
detergent into paint (I used green
apple detergent for this project).
This also makes paint easier to
wash from hands and clothes.
Leaves
• Paint leaves with watercolor.
• Make dots with markers on top of
wet paint.
• When dry, crumple leaves to create texture.
Tip: Make use of dry markers by
dipping into water.
Broom
• Glue sequins onto Popsicle stick.
• Cut jute/raffia into strips and
secure with elastic band.
• Insert Popsicle stick into elastic
band.
Tip: Leave slightly damp sponges
on the art table for children to
remove glue or paint from fingers
during art-making.
