18 SUMMER 2018 SchoolArts E A R L Y C H I L D H O O D A t our Saturday children's art class at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, my five- and six-year-olds always get to start our class with a trip to the gal - leries. One Saturday, we walked to the modern and contemporary art galleries and saw Barbara Kruger's We Will No Longer Be Seen and Not Heard. I asked students to take turns reading the words (which a student pointed out are also represented in American Sign Language in the Sue Liedke Seen HEARD Maya Glover, self-portrait.
