24 MARCH 2018 SchoolArts M I D D L E S C H O O L W hen I attended Michele Rodich's amazing work - shop, Steampunk Etymol- ogy, at the 2017 NAEA National Convention, I knew I had to introduce this fun, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary lesson to my middle-school art club. Steampunk is a fanciful approach to science that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by nineteenth-cen - tury steam machinery. Steampunk Aesthetics I began by explaining steampunk aesthetics to my students. We briefly discussed examples of this style from movies such as Sherlock Holmes and Back to the Future Part III, Steampunk Melody Weintraub BUGS Hayden Peel, Clock Wasp.
