This section of the portal also contains links to photos taken dur- ing class. Everything students need to self-reflect, self-assess, and post to their blog is available on this page. The Design Since we knew the portal would contain an almost overwhelming amount of information, we wanted to emphasize simplicity and ease of use in the design of the site. Starting with the homepage, we designed the site to have a clean look and feel. Each secondary page contains links divided into basic categories so students can quickly find information. The last and most important part of building the portal was making sure students both knew about and took advantage of this resource. To ensure that students were fully aware, we presented it to each class. We also set the portal as the default homepage on each computer in the artroom. Our plans moving forward are to continually update and add content to the portal. The ultimate goal is to have the portal be the one-stop 24/7 shop for all your art students' needs.
