W hat child hasn't fan- tasized about visiting imaginary lands with mythical creatures? Even older children love bringing toys to life and sending them on magical journeys. By having students create their own imaginary animals with air-dry modeling material and invent their own stories through the miracle of stop-motion anima - tion, my sixth- and seventh-graders enjoyed both engaging in play and creating beautiful art. Starting with The Little Prince The Little Prince has always been one of my favorite stories.
