Early Childhood Studio Lesson can make anything good. Creative teach - ing takes place when her teacher encour - ages her to "make her mark," which she does by begin - ning with a simple dot on the paper. This encouragement sets the girl on a journey of creativity, exploration, and discovery, and her new - found self-esteem becomes an inspiration for others. I nternational Dot Day takes place on September 15 and commemorates the book, The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds (Candlewick Press, 2003). Dot Day began in 2009 when a group of edu - cators decided to celebrate the themes of the story on the anniversary of the book's publication.
