T he entire art community is deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend, men- tor, and leader, Dr. Elliot W. Eisner, 81, on January 10, 2014. Eisner served as president of the National Art Education Associa- tion from 1977 until 1979, and was renowned for his work in art educa- tion, curriculum reform, and qualita- tive research. His vision, intellect, and generosity of spirit will be celebrated at the 2014 NAEA National Conven- tion in San Diego.
